I take your privacy and the confidentiality of any information you may provide extremely seriously and this is a foundation of the trust on which my practice is built. I am committed to ensuring that your data is protected. This document constitutes my privacy policy and sets out how I use and protect your personal information.

The personal data I collect about you may consist of your name, address, date of birth, and information relating to your health, including mental health and history.

Your personal data will be kept confidential and I will only use it to enable me to provide psychotherapy or counselling, including communication and administration related to my services. Your more confidential personal data may, rarely, be shared with other professionals in specific limited circumstances, whether this is for ongoing treatment or referral.

I will only use your data for these specified purposes. I will only grant access to your data as I am obliged to do so by law and I will not share your data with third parties unless for onward referral and continuity of care.

You have certain rights, subject to law, including rights to request access to your personal data and to correct it. You may also, subject to law, have rights to request erasure of personal data where there is no good reason for me to retain it.

I am obliged by my insurers to keep personal data for 7 years after completion of any work. After this time it will be destroyed.
